Terms and Conditions for RetroFin

Welcome to RetroFin! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and RECOLLECTION LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the RetroFin mobile application (the "App").

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE APP, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE APP.

1. Description of Services

RetroFin is a financial data aggregation tool that allows users to view their financial account balances and transactions in a unified interface.

Important Notice: RetroFin is for informational purposes only. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. User Accounts

  • Registration: To access certain features, you may be required to register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notification: You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Third-Party Financial Data (Plaid)

RetroFin uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your RetroFin account with your bank accounts.

  • Grant of Authority: By using the App, you grant RECOLLECTION LLC and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the [Plaid Privacy Policy](https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy).
  • Data Accuracy: We do not verify the accuracy of the data provided by your bank or Plaid. We are not responsible for errors, delays, or omissions in the data displayed in the App.

5. Subscriptions and Payments [Optional - Delete if Free]

  • Subscription Fees: RetroFin offers [Monthly/Annual] subscriptions. Payment will be charged to your [Apple ID/Google Play Account] at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Account Settings.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding user data), features, and functionality—including the "RetroFin" name and logo—are owned by RECOLLECTION LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the App.
  • Use the App to harvest data or use "bots" or "scrapers."

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECOLLECTION LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RECOLLECTION LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APP; OR (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE APP.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Davis County or Salt Lake County, Utah.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
